0:00 Caller: Hello.

0:00 You: Erin, it's Jed.

0:10 Caller: Hello.

0:11 Caller: Oh, hi, Jed.

0:15 Caller: How are you?

0:15 You: I'm well in yourself.

0:16 Caller: I'm doing well, thanks.

0:20 Caller: How did it go with Lola?

0:20 You: So, spoke with Sam, call went well, also ran over, so I suppose that's a good thing.

0:28 You: He walked me through the product vision and the team that he's building, and he spent a good

0:31 You: amount of time on architecture, so it sort of felt like unpaid consulting, but I'm sure

0:35 You: there's a method to his process.

0:38 Caller: Okay.

0:39 You: He said he's building.

0:40 Caller: Okay.

0:40 Caller: Oh.

0:40 You: a small team, three engineers, separate from a Boston team that this team is competing

0:43 You: against, and he wants to meet in person. He said this week, getting PTO on that kind of notice is

0:48 Caller: Okay.

0:49 Caller: Okay.

0:51 You: tricky, so in practice I'll probably be available to meet the week after he comes back from

0:55 Caller: Okay.

0:56 Caller: Okay.

0:57 You: his trip. Apparently he's leaving Friday night out the week.

1:00 Caller: Thank you.

1:00 You: following. The next step, according to him, was just to meet with the CEO and to dive deeper

1:06 You: into my background. And the problem itself is interesting. The inventory is a real moat. I'm trying

1:15 You: to figure out now team dynamics, expectations, and

1:20 Caller: Okay, okay, that sounds good though, it was pretty positive overall, especially if they're talking about bringing you on site.

1:20 You: if the process I use aligns well with their intent.

1:36 You: I don't know what other candidates or the caliber of other candidates

1:40 Caller: Yeah, I mean, with this, I know that as far as all the roles that they've had open,

1:40 You: you've sent across or if he's really urgently trying to beat the Boston team.

1:49 Caller: they've moved very quickly with people, so I think that's probably why he was going to bring you on site so quickly.

1:54 Caller: I'm not sure as far as anyone else that they may be working with.

2:00 Caller: or like any kind of referrals, just for transparency, you're the only person that I have in play

2:00 You: Thank you.

2:05 Caller: for the AI engineer role, and then that initial machine learning engineer role that you and I

2:10 Caller: had spoken about last week, do have a few people in play for that. But like with this, so long as

2:16 Caller: all goes well, they'd be looking to move pretty quickly so long as everything.

2:20 Caller: kind of checks off okay excellent so okay no that's that's helpful to know I'll keep an eye

2:20 You: understood then probably best to to move the meeting after he comes back only because i have other processes in flight

2:34 Caller: out for when they want to get you scheduled and then see about getting you set up for

2:39 Caller: um

2:40 Caller: sometime, maybe mid to late next week.

2:40 You: I think the biggest thing I forgot to ask also is how long they intend for me to be on site.

2:46 You: As happy as I would be to nerd out about AI and LLMs and those kinds of solutions,

2:51 You: I do have other obligations, like picking up my kid from daycare.

2:56 Caller: Okay, yeah, I'll check in on that.

3:00 Caller: with the account executive to see if she has any kind of insight on how long that should last.

3:00 You: Understood.

3:05 You: And just from the call, the notes I have on the call, Sam is leaving the 22nd.

3:10 You: He's out the final week of May, so 25 to 29.

3:13 You: So hypothetically, any onsite would be the week of June 1.

3:20 Caller: to know. So we'll see about getting you set up for the first week of June.

3:20 You: already tuned.

3:23 You: Excellent.

3:25 You: Oh, and if you can please check in how long they intend for the on-site to last.

3:28 You: Is this like a four-hour engagement, a six-hour, maybe less?

3:32 Caller: Okay. Okay, noted. I will touch base with the account executive and then let you know

3:38 Caller: when I have an answer on that. And then we'll see about.

3:40 Caller: about getting you scheduled for that onsite.

3:40 You: Excellent. Thank you very much, Aaron.

3:44 You: Oh, also the written debrief is sitting in your LinkedIn box in case you have other questions that may already be answered there.

3:45 Caller: Of course, have a good one, Jed.

3:51 Caller: Oh, excellent.

3:53 You: Perfect. Thank you.

3:55 Caller: I'll check that out in a minute.

3:57 Caller: Perfect. Thanks.

3:59 Caller: Bye-bye.

4:00 Caller: Jordan and out of all right.

4:00 You: Thank you.
