0:00 Caller: Hey, good. How are you?

0:00 You: This call will be recorded.

0:04 You: Hello.

0:07 You: I'm well and yourself.

0:10 Caller: Doing good. How's the end of the day, right? Friday Eve.

0:13 You: It's only Thursday.

0:15 Caller: I don't know, you big World Cup guys, none of the USA games on tonight, but, of course, they put it on, like, 10 p.m.

0:21 You: Oh, Friday Eve, okay.

0:23 Caller: Yeah, Friday Eve, you get it.

0:25 You: Yeah, it took me a minute.

0:28 Caller: Yeah, no, all good.

0:30 Caller: So, yeah, I just want to shout out quick. What I'll do is, I know I sent you over the email with Veritas's website and everything. I'll send you Perdip's LinkedIn as well. He's who you're speaking with. You have the link and everything from them, correct? I don't know if you. Okay. Perfect. Yes, I'll send you Pradeep's LinkedIn. He, you can take out his background. He was at, like, Boston Consulting Group for a pretty long time. I think he joined Veritas last year. He's head of AI for them.

0:30 You: Correct. I have the invitation and that's all established.

1:00 Caller: somebody that, you know, I obviously like to be kind of reporting into and working very closely with.

1:00 You: Thank you.

1:04 Caller: And, you know, the conversation with him is basically just that.

1:09 Caller: I think I might have explained when we first spoke. Like, it's a very open-ended conversation with him trying to get a good understanding of, like, your background, what you've been working on, what kind of projects, you know, environments, you know, general scope.

1:22 Caller: And then I think a lot of it, too, is more of him, you know, kind of explaining what, how they're set up and like what he's done over there right now.

1:29 Caller: on, like, what is the plan for, you know, these four or five, maybe more engineers that he's going to bring on and, like, what the scope of work's going to look like and, you know, kind of how they operate. So it's really more of, like, an informative call than it really is, like, any type of, like, technical interview. So it's not, he's not going to sit there and, like, hammer you with tech questions. Obviously, I would be prepared to, like, talk through your resume and, you know, kind of got, like, like, an in-depth conversation from a technical side. But, you know, there's no, like, coding or anything like that. There's nothing.

1:30 You: I don't know.

1:59 Caller: actually involved that in their entire process, which is nice. You know, it's really more of these, like, higher level

2:00 You: Thank you.

2:01 You: Thank you.

2:02 You: Thank you.

2:04 You: Thank you.

2:04 Caller: conversations around, like, strategy and implementation of these types of solutions and, like, what goes into it.

2:05 You: Thank you.

2:10 Caller: So I think you guys will have a very good, you know, chat about it, and it probably only is going to be, like, 30, maybe 45 minutes at the most.

2:19 Caller: So I think just reviewing the job description and, you know, checking out their website, familiarizing yourself as best you can, you know, with those guys and, you know, maybe come prepared with a couple questions.

2:29 Caller: that you want to ask, which I'm sure you probably have a few just in general about, you know, what the, what the workload's really going to look like and how these guys operate, so.

2:35 You: Okay.

2:37 Caller: So, the last guy that we placed there. Um, I mean, he, kind of hard. So he came from consulting, which obviously translates pretty well. And, he, obviously, translates pretty well. And, and,

2:39 You: Anything in particular you can tell me about the other forward

2:44 You: the other forward deployed engineer that was there?

2:50 You: Yes.

2:59 Caller: with them, it was a little bit different. And I think, like, Pridip will probably explain that because he was the first hire. They were a little bit more, you know, picky on a specific tech stack for him. And I think once he got in there, they kind of realized, like, hey, we don't really need to worry about that too much. So, you know, he was more of like a data engineering, you know, transitioning into AI, working and consulting that was, you know, pushing these solutions into, you know, large organizations. And actually, funny enough, one of their portfolio companies,

3:05 You: Thank you.

3:29 Caller: if he was currently working with. So it just kind of happened to work out that way. But, you know, his background was fairly similar to yours in terms of what he was doing. So, you know, obviously they saw your resume, got back to us pretty quick. I think it's a good fit. So, you know, wanted to set up a call. But, you know, it's weird because they have so many openings now that they're, you know, having conversations and seeing who can be, you know, right fit for this team and not focusing on the actual technology piece. But as you would assume, like, the Gen. Gen. A.I. A.A.I. And

3:35 You: Understood.

3:59 Caller: type solutions is what they're looking for as a whole.

4:05 You: I guess I have everything I need.

4:07 You: So I'll send you a debrief email summarizing that conversation I have on Monday.

4:14 Caller: Okay. Okay. Yeah, perfect. Let me know how it goes. I mean, if you have time, feel free to give me a call. You know, we can talk about it, talk through it. These guys are pretty quick to get back to some stuff. So I would probably have feedback for you Monday night, if not Tuesday morning. And I know, I know, you have other things going on. And I know, you have other things going on.

4:29 Caller: in the process, right? You have like later stage stuff in the works. Yes. So I would say, like, I don't know if if people will ask or bring it up. I would say maybe mention it to them that you do have other things, especially if you're like, you know, towards the end of that call and like, hey, this is a pretty exciting opportunity. I let him know, you know, hey, I have other things going on. You know, this sounds like a great role. You know, is there anything we can do to, you know, speed up the process type of the deal. We can also handle that on our side, too. So.

4:35 You: I'll get a sense.

4:45 You: I'll get a sense of a sense of

4:59 Caller: So, you know, just trying to double down on that.

5:01 Caller: But they're aware.

5:05 You: the temperature of Pradeep's, I guess.

5:06 Caller: Yeah, get the vibe.

5:08 You: Yeah, Vi.

5:08 Caller: Yeah, no, I got you.

5:09 You: Let's think we're good about it.

5:10 Caller: All right.

5:11 Caller: Yeah, so sounds good.

5:13 Caller: So, yeah, I mean, over the next couple days, if you're looking things over and you have any questions,

5:17 Caller: like I said, I take calls on the weekends all the time.

5:19 Caller: I'm available.

5:20 Caller: So if you need anything, let me know.

5:22 You: All right.

5:22 You: Sounds good.

5:23 You: Thank you, Lenny.

5:24 Caller: All right.

5:25 Caller: Cool.

5:25 Caller: I'll talk to you soon.

5:26 Caller: Have a good rest of your day.

5:28 Caller: Enjoy the weekend.

5:28 Caller: If we don't talk.

5:29 Caller: and then we'll catch up Monday.

5:30 You: Happy Friday.

5:33 Caller: Happy Friday. There we go.

5:35 You: Thank you.

5:35 Caller: All right, I'll talk to you.

5:36 Caller: Bye.
