0:00 Caller: This call is being routed by Google.

0:00 You: This call will be recorded.

0:09 Caller: The cost of this call

0:10 Caller: Call is 1 cents per minute.

0:10 You: Thank you.

0:12 You: Thank you.

0:20 Caller: Hi, I was just about calling you.

0:20 You: Hey Graham. Excellent. I'm well and yourself. Hopefully I can pose too much with Ben.

0:22 Caller: How are you?

0:26 Caller: Yeah, pretty good actually.

0:28 Caller: Yeah.

0:30 Caller: No, no, no, no, no, no. You've done well, thanks for speaking today. You made my day a whole lot more chill. As you can understand...

0:30 You: Thank you.

0:40 Caller: Ben doesn't necessarily, Ben's clientele hasn't necessarily been hedge funds for a really long time.

0:40 You: Thank you.

0:42 You: Thank you.

0:46 Caller: He's only recently started working with hedge funds, so.

0:50 Caller: The point of friction for him obviously makes him a bit more nervy than it would me.

0:50 You: Thank you.

0:54 Caller: And obviously it's his client, but I've taken all the role.

0:57 Caller: So that's why he's speaking to Ben.

1:00 Caller: on that side of things and he could articulate better gym.

1:00 You: Thank you.

1:04 Caller: So that worked out pretty well, actually.

1:08 Caller: The answer to...

1:10 Caller: trading is it's allowed. All trades have to go through compliance, similar to what you

1:10 You: Thank you.

1:17 Caller: pretty much have to go through stock chain.

1:20 Caller: what they will do is have a conversation review in person about that.

1:20 You: I don't know.

1:22 You: Thank you.

1:25 Caller: So what they're proposing on the IP as well is pretty much...

1:30 Caller: Brett did a lot of work on Millenniums IP and how they pretty much regulated IP.

1:30 You: Thank you.

1:38 Caller: Sorry, can you still hear me?

1:40 Caller: Hello?

1:40 You: Yeah, I hear you.

1:41 Caller: Yeah.

1:42 Caller: So he did a lot of work on how Millennium pretty much set up their IP regulations and he understands

1:50 Caller: where you're coming from and pretty much what they've said is when you go into office

1:50 You: I'm

1:55 Caller: to meet with them you will have that conversation with Brett.

2:00 Caller: and the wider team just so they can pretty much explain to you what they're thinking

2:00 You: Thank you.

2:03 Caller: and pretty much come to a point where there might be some synergy with a better understanding of

2:07 Caller: what you're kind of

2:10 Caller: limits are and what you'd be open to just with a better conversation with them in person

2:10 You: Thank you.

2:14 Caller: they might be able to articulate it's better for you um which is the point that they were trying

2:18 Caller: to put across the app

2:20 Caller: right um so brett so brett so breath is

2:20 You: Who ultimately holds decision authority for that policy?

2:25 You: Is it bred or someone in compliance?

2:30 Caller: proposing to have that discussion with you directly there will likely be a

2:30 You: Thank you.

2:36 Caller: conversation with somebody in compliance with regards to that but Brett is coming

2:40 Caller: from an environment similar to yourself whereby he believes that engineers and pretty much people

2:40 You: Thank you.

2:45 Caller: who are working in that space should be allowed to do their own work outside of what

2:50 Caller: Elliot Remet is and he believes that pretty much there should be freedom to develop your own

2:50 You: I don't know.

2:52 You: Thank you.

2:54 You: Thank you.

2:55 Caller: things he came up with a IP regulation that Millennium has employed

3:00 Caller: over the last couple of years.

3:00 You: I see

3:02 Caller: So while he's proposing is to have that discussion with you,

3:05 Caller: see where you're at, and he'll pretty much make a proposal

3:07 Caller: to you with regards to that as well.

3:10 Caller: So those points...

3:10 You: so all of this will be tacked to the super day.

3:14 Caller: Huh?

3:14 You: Will all of this be tacked onto the super day

3:16 You: or is this meant to be happened beforehand?

3:20 Caller: So this will all be packed onto the Super Day.

3:20 You: Thank you.

3:22 Caller: So what their plan will be is for you to meet with one person

3:26 Caller: called Eli.

3:27 Caller: Eli will cover pretty much the scope.

3:30 Caller: of the role where it evolves beyond just AI STLC. Eli is one second, I think

3:30 You: Thank you.

3:40 Caller: Eli is head of data.

3:40 You: I'm

3:41 Caller: So he manages all the data that goes into Elliott.

3:44 Caller: So he'll give you more color on the scope of the role

3:47 Caller: beyond just AI-enabled SDI.

3:50 Caller: it will go further from that and you will hear that from Eli as well as Brett and

3:50 You: Okay.

3:54 Caller: potentially David right um

4:00 Caller: So it will be an on-site to interview with Eli

4:00 You: Excellent.

4:03 Caller: for 60 minutes and then in lunch with Brett

4:06 Caller: where you can have all these questions answered.

4:08 Caller: Is that OK with you?

4:10 Caller: So that's the other side of things.

4:10 You: know which day.

4:14 Caller: I know you sent me availability, but I just wanted to confirm with you if anything has changed.

4:18 Caller: Feel free to share a different available.

4:20 Caller: things have changed and then with that I will reverse to them with your availability.

4:20 You: So Monday I can no longer spend the full day on site.

4:30 Caller: So what, from 12 p.m.? Or you can just send them to me.

4:30 You: the half thing, the front half, and then, let's see, I'll send the range.

4:40 Caller: So, yes, because obviously

4:40 You: I can send the ranges. How long a range do you anticipate?

4:42 You: So if it's used to be four, now it's six, so hypothetically six or seven hours?

4:50 Caller: Brett wants to have lunch with you.

4:50 You: I'm

4:54 Caller: So I'd anticipate a lunch as well.

4:57 Caller: So if you could do any mornings, that'd be great.

5:00 Caller: because it will likely be a conversation with Eli, then going to lunch with Brett.

5:00 You: Understood, then, okay, so...

5:10 Caller: Okay.

5:10 You: It's the back, it's all of Tuesday, the back half of Wednesday, and the front half of Thursday.

5:17 You: If they can, well, I'll give you the precise times and email.

5:20 Caller: Okay, cool. Yeah, perfect. I'll try to get that done for you today.

5:20 You: after this. But the sooner that can be locked up, sooner I can file for PTO and all of that part.

5:30 Caller: So I guess just to kind of clarify and see where you're at with things, have the other offers come through?

5:30 You: One is supposed to come on Monday or

5:36 Caller: Any offers come through today?

5:40 Caller: Mm-hmm.

5:40 You: Tuesday. I already spoke with the hiring manager. It's, it's, uh, it was a soft yes. They're

5:42 Caller: Mm-hmm.

5:45 Caller: Mm-hmm.

5:45 You: checking with compliance. I don't know exactly what that's supposed to mean. And then

5:50 Caller: Okay. And in terms of your view on the offer, I'm guessing that they probably

5:50 You: once that lands, the clock starts.

6:00 Caller: presented a number to you and everything how did that look okay okay okay

6:00 You: He presented a number.

6:05 You: It's roughly in line on a total comp basis with where Elliot is, so it's close enough.

6:09 You: I'm not concerned.

6:11 You: I'm waiting for the actual thing written down along with the rest of the, in this case, the compliance

6:13 Caller: okay okay okay all right so what we'll do is sort of for you ASAp in terms of where you think

6:17 You: expectations since they pushed that to the very end.

6:29 Caller: both roles are at just before it's going into the bookings with Eli do you have any specific

6:30 You: Nothing beyond what we've already discussed, hopefully the discussions

6:39 Caller: I guess it would be rather than expectations I would ask is there any reservations that you may

6:47 Caller: have with regards to any of that you need covered other than what we've already discussed which

6:50 Caller: would already present to them with regards to the scope of the role IP and trading

6:59 Caller: okay okay and in terms of your viewing of it now that you do have one offer in

7:00 You: clarify all this don't create too many new questions. I can't already be answered.

7:04 You: All I have, all I have is a verbal promise. I don't have yet something to sign.

7:08 Caller: hand already how does it look in terms of just ranking wise because you're well aware

7:13 Caller: of that role and full scope and I do understand that you probably really know about

7:17 Caller: 70% okay cool

7:22 You: So as far as I'm concerned, they're the farthest along operationally, but until I have that actual document, it's just some

7:29 Caller: Okay, cool.

7:30 You: one's promise.

7:33 Caller: The other thing that Jim wanted us to make you aware of is referencing will likely start fairly soon.

7:39 Caller: They understand that they can't get a reference from Roe, so one of the things that

7:43 Caller: they propose is potentially if you have worked with somebody who's already left or somebody

7:49 Caller: who's essentially mentioned you while you were there or worked with you while you were there but

7:52 Caller: then essentially walked away from the roll out role, might be a good person to consider for referencing

7:59 Caller: But it also fully depends on how much you trust them without them,

8:00 You: How many people do they need?

8:02 Caller: especially getting that information out to Roe,

8:05 Caller: whilst you're interviewing.

8:06 Caller: So they did want us to just, I'd say if you can get maybe,

8:13 Caller: typically I'd say maybe three always work best.

8:17 Caller: So one from Ro, one from your previous roles and one from a role before that,

8:21 Caller: or two from your previous roles and one from row, something like that.

8:25 Caller: And then if they need more, I'll let you know.

8:26 Caller: I just pretty much just told us to, to,

8:29 Caller: you to kind of get those ducks in a row fairly advanced and know who you'd reach out.

8:30 You: How far back will they accept?

8:34 Caller: I don't think they'd go way too far back, but I'd say if we're looking at your experience,

8:37 You: Well, as a quick example, my previous role would have been almost four years ago now, so do they want me to dig that far back in my career?

8:41 Caller: yeah, so I think, I think if you went four years back and then managed to also find somebody

8:54 Caller: who can think the role part is why they're asking for,

8:59 Caller: a reference from Roe because of obviously the four-year gap.

9:00 You: Understood. So I will see who among the X row on my behalf, and then the rest of my behalf, and then the rest, we'll see how among the X row I can talk to, or are willing to talk to Elliot on my behalf. And then the rest, we'll see how that goes.

9:04 Caller: Let's see.

9:05 Caller: Do I think if you can find anybody who can give some row referencing, that'd be great.

9:11 Caller: If you pause, then find maybe two from your previous role.

9:14 Caller: And two, three from your previous role, and we can figure out what we can do on the rows of other things, okay?

9:21 Caller: Yeah.

9:27 Caller: Yeah, cool, perfect.

9:29 Caller: All right, perfect.

9:30 You: We'll do.

9:32 Caller: All right.

9:33 Caller: Thanks.

9:34 Caller: All right.

9:35 Caller: Once I get your time, I'll send those over and we can try to use this book as quickly as possible today, okay?

9:39 Caller: Perfect.

9:40 You: All right. Thank you, God.

9:40 Caller: Cheers.

9:42 Caller: Bye.
