0:00 Caller: Hi, if you record your name and reason for calling, I'll see if this person is available.
0:00 You: This call will be recorded.
0:13 You: Hello, Brian, it's Jedd Arden responding to your message.
0:30 Caller: Hey, Jeff.
0:30 You: Hello, Brian. Got your email.
0:43 Caller: How are he done?
0:45 You: Curious to know what you had in mind.
0:46 Caller: Oh, good.
0:48 Caller: Yeah.
0:50 Caller: Hold on a second.
0:51 Caller: I just give me two seconds.
0:53 Caller: I was literally finished type of my message, too.
1:00 Caller: Actually, it's funny, you call.
1:00 You: Yes, I met with Brett yesterday.
1:08 Caller: So I work with Elliott Management.
1:12 Caller: Are you familiar with Elliot?
1:13 Caller: Does anybody spoken to you about them at all?
1:18 Caller: Okay.
1:18 You: Is this the AISDLC role?
1:19 Caller: Somebody already got to you.
1:22 You: Is that the one?
1:24 Caller: This is an AISDLC role, and there's also more of like an infrastructure.
1:30 Caller: focus type role. It's the same, it's all in the same umbrella. So you're being considered
1:30 You: Understood. Well, I'm already in process with Elliot, so unfortunately, someone else beat you to that particular punch.
1:34 Caller: probably for all of them, which is when you kind of said, what do you have in mind? I was going to
1:39 Caller: kind of present you with, you know, the two or three roles that they have available there.
1:48 Caller: Yeah. Okay.
1:52 You: But happy to hear what else you had in mind.
1:53 Caller: Yeah, no problem. If you don't mind me asking, if you don't mind me asking, what did you get into
1:58 Caller: process with them just recently?
2:00 Caller: Oh, so a month ago.
2:00 You: three? At least. Yes. Surprisingly, no, it's only been four interviews so far.
2:05 Caller: At least a month ago.
2:06 Caller: Okay. So you've been through the process over there.
2:08 Caller: It's pretty rigorous.
2:11 Caller: It's a pretty rigorous process to save the least.
2:19 Caller: Right.
2:20 Caller: Do you think you're at the end at this point or no?
2:22 You: I was told I was at the end, and then they sprung another one on me. That was number four.
2:26 Caller: All right.
2:27 You: So I don't know. It is the end. It is the end.
2:30 Caller: True, true. All right. I will keep in mind. I'm trying to think of what else I might. The other stuff I have just isn't comparable in terms of like competition and stuff like that for the AI. So if I have anything else, I'll definitely reach out. But it sounds like you might be off the market if you're close at the end of the line with them.
2:30 You: And once any offer are rejection lens. That's been my stance.
2:57 Caller: True, true, true. That's always a true.
3:00 Caller: process as well. So, um, I have some way. Is there any, I have two clients in the private equity space
3:00 You: It's the, they have their process. I understand and respect that. That's why I'm not stopping until I have at least the offers. And in the meantime, do any of your clients work, are any of your clients in the private equity space?
3:20 Caller: that don't have any AI roles. It's funny. It's funny. It's funny you ask that, uh, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm
3:30 Caller: I'm talking to somebody right now who's head of AI for a P.E. firm.
3:30 You: How far up in Connecticut?
3:36 Caller: You're in Connecticut? I don't think you're interested in one in Connecticut, correct?
3:43 Caller: It's pretty far. It's like Westport.
3:45 You: Yeah, that's a little too far to go there daily.
3:48 Caller: Yeah. Yeah. It's a little too far.
3:51 Caller: But yeah, no, I'll make enough, like, for P.E. firms as well.
3:55 Caller: The other one I work as is motive partners, but they don't really have anything right now in the AI space.
4:00 Caller: Okay.
4:00 You: Understood. My anecdotal experience is they're starting to see AI as a way to expand multiples for existing companies without financial engineering. So I assume that thesis will begin to spread, mainly because PE is a little incestuous that way. So happy to be considered for those roles as you hear about them.
4:18 Caller: Okay.
4:22 Caller: I'll definitely reach out when I do have something and, you know, if you know, if things, you know, we can discuss it.
4:26 Caller: And if anything changes on, you know, if things change, just let me know.
4:30 You: Certainly. And then if you're still looking for more profiles like mine, the Aitinkerers.org website features different chapters in various cities, and the people who win the local hackathons tend to be exceptionally strong with AI.
4:30 Caller: Now you have my contact info.
4:51 You: I'll respond to your LinkedIn with that so that you have the correct spelling, but yes, you had it.
4:56 Caller: Awesome. All right. Thank you. I appreciate your time. And again, hopefully, you know, hopefully we can be in touch in the future.
5:00 You: Sounds good. Take care, Brian.
5:04 Caller: Thanks. Thanks.
